MineOps is looking for a Construction logistics field leader to join a team working in Nunavut. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing on-site logistics activities, including team management, the movement of materials and equipment, upkeep of work areas, and management of storage areas (laydowns).

Responsibilities

• Plan the logistics team's daily activities based on information provided by the logistics coordinator.
• Present planned work during daily toolbox meetings and provide the team with detailed task lists.
• Supervise workers on the logistics team, including tracking work cards and overseeing on-site activities.
• Organize the upkeep and maintenance of construction work areas, including waste bin management, site cleanliness and tidiness, facility upkeep, snow removal, etc.
• Provide ongoing support to contractors regarding the use of mobile equipment, including loaders, telehandlers, etc.
• Organize the transportation of equipment and materials on site.
• Communicate with the maintenance team on any requests or needs related to the vehicle fleet.
• Manage construction storage and laydown areas, and, together with relevant stakeholders, make decisions regarding platform layout.
• Comply at all times with the health and safety standards in effect on site.

Exigences

• Relevant experience in site logistics, supervision, or team coordination in an industrial or mining environment.
• Strong ability to plan and prioritize daily tasks.
• Ability to work with various types of mobile equipment and coordinate their use.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with construction, logistics, and maintenance teams.
• Ability to work in a mining environment on a 14/14 rotation.
• Autonomous, organized, resourceful, with a strong sense of priorities.
• Strong team spirit and positive leadership.
• Bilingualism required.

Assets

• Experience in a construction or mining environment.
• Experience with mobile equipment such as a loader, telehandler, or forklift.
• Relevant health and safety training or certification.

Conditions de travail

• Location: Mining site in Nunavut.
• Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off rotation (14/14).
• Group insurance from the date of hire.
